Classes by Dr. Azita Nahai is a Kundalini yogi, author, speaker and trauma specialist. She is the founder of Trauma to Dharma® ~ an experiential method that integrates a holistic mind-body-spirit approach to healing trauma and transforming one’s pain into purpose. A domestic abuse survivor-turned-thriver, Dr. Nahai experienced something missing in her own recovery, and so, she created her trauma-informed program to fill the void. Dr. Nahai’s decades of research support the use of Kundalini yoga and meditation as a valuable therapeutic modality in post-traumatic growth. As a change agent she is fueled by her passion to empower others to become conscious and active participants in their own healing. She hopes her work will continue to help survivors access their true power to realize their dharma and transform their pain into a purposeful and joyful life. Azita’s real and relatable classes are infused with radical acceptance, fierce compassion and a spirited playfulness. She offers a safe and supportive space for you to dive deep beneath the noise of your daily demands and access that place of surrendered stillness where you can finally greet and embrace your Self (often for the first time in a long time)… Azita’s book Trauma to Dharma is available here at Yoga West and on Amazon.
