How did you find Kundalini Yoga?
.

I needed gym credit in college and one of my fraternity brothers recommended it. My first class was in September, 1989.
.
What is your favorite Yogi Bhajan teaching?
.

Having had the privilege to have been with him a little bit, just the way he lived his life is what is most inspiring to me. He didn't just say nice things. He was a living example of what is possible when you live a life in your highest consciousness. Just knowing that that potential exists in all of us is a great "teaching" - as it inspires me and helps me to keep up!
.
What do you love about teaching at Yoga West?
.

The vibe in there is awesome. Teaching in the same place that Yogi Bhajan taught so many classes is a great honor. The staff and support that take care of so many "little things" that make it so inviting and easy to be in and to teach at.

What do you love about teaching Kundalini Yoga?
.
Seeing the students awaken their sensitivity and expand their awareness is so fulfilling. And experiencing the energy that is present in every class (each one slightly different!) is like a deep meditation every time I teach. So it feels like I am "getting" an amazing experience myself while at the same time helping others - what could be better? And there is a special feeling in my heart for each and every student that comes. Whether they make it to only one class, or they come to every class, begin in the space of a teacher - with an open heart and pure love and acceptance for them - is a beautiful feeling.
.
What else do you do in your life?
.
Work at Beanfields, teach yoga and help run 2 teacher training classes, volunteer on 3 non-profit boards of directors, and be with my family.
