“You can change the destiny of the child just by the way you breathe, just by the way you move.” Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa
|
Pregnancy is a special time in your life, a time to nurture yourself and prepare to welcome a new soul onto the planet. Pregnancy Yoga in the Khalsa Way is a gentle and safe approach for women in all stages of their pregnancy. Our focus is on body alignment thru yoga postures, breathing, and strengthening the body, mind, and spirit to prepare for birth. Pregnancy Yoga promotes concentration, relaxation, and flexibility. |
All aspects of pregnancy are covered as we learn:
Yoga postures specifically tailored for strengthening and relaxing your rapidly changing body. Yogic breathing techniques that will support you thru pregnancy and labor.
|
Guided meditations and visualizations will give you a greater awareness of the many physical and spiritual changes you will encounter during your pregnancy.
Inspiring stories and antidotes to ancient ways of birthing and mothering that have been handed down thru the ages will help lift fears, doubts, and old conditioning.

Keya Merah is a joyful and encouraging teacher whose daily yoga practice includes Kundalini and Hatha yoga. She began her yoga journey eight years ago at the Center for Yoga in Larchmont and has since practiced extensively with many of L.A.s senior Kundalini, Ashtanga, Anusara, Vinyasa Flow and Iyengar yoga teachers.
Keya is a certified Hatha Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Works 200 (hr) program with Annie Carpenter. She is also certified to teach Kundalini Yoga through the K.R.I. (Kundalini Research Institute) 200 (hr) program with Krishna Kaur Khalsa.
After giving birth to her son in 2003, Keya wanted to share the benefits of yoga during pregnancy and completed her certification in Pregnancy Yoga through the 90 (hr) Khalsa Way program at Golden Bridge Yoga with Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa. Keya lives in Los Angeles with her five-year-old son, whom she credits the wake up call to begin living with more yogic awareness.

Gail Bennett :Gail Bennett is a mother of 2 and began her yoga practice nearly 20 years ago in New York City. Having an eclectic practice of Hatha, Iyengar and Kundalini yoga, Gail was especially impressed with the way Kundalini prenatal yoga prepared her spiritually, as well as physically, to bring a new little soul into the world. Her goal is to help pregnant women enjoy pregnancy, and to anticipate the birthing experience with open eyes, open minds and flexible bodies.
